Our collection of hugging toys has been created to support children as they learn to self-regulate. These toys provide support for children when they need some extra reassurance and comfort during situations that cause anxiety. Stimulating feelings of safety and warmth in children of all ages.
All ages benefit from hugs, and when we experience rejection or stress our bodies produce cortisol, which makes us seek out comfort and reassurance.
This bond can sometimes be sought with new friends or new situations, and is for example why camaraderie often develops between people who work closely together or are stuck in tight quarters, such as an elevator.
As empathetic beings, we seek to comfort others and embrace those who are suffering or in distress. The skin contact and gentle pressure of a hug increases the chemical oxytocin, which helps us feel warm and comforted.
